Help
How can we help?
Consultas
Is the call really private?
Yes. Calls run inside the app over an end-to-end encrypted connection. Ile De Ifa cannot listen, and nothing is recorded or stored by anyone, including us. The chips you see on every call screen — Private consultation, End-to-end encrypted, Not being recorded — are the state of the call, not decoration.
What if I need to cancel?
Each Babalawo sets their cancellation terms, and you see them before you confirm a booking. If the Babalawo cancels, you are always refunded in full.
Can I bring someone to the call?
Yes, tell your Babalawo in the intake. Many consultas are for a family. Only the account holder sees the record afterwards unless you share it.
Do I pay for obras in the app?
No. The price you pay is for the consulta and the 16-day follow-up. Any derechos or materials for obras are agreed between you and your priest outside the app.
My Ifá and the 16 days
What does my Babalawo enter after the call?
Your Odù, the orishas who spoke, whether the sign came in iré or osogbo, the obras agreed and when they are due, and a short note. It appears in My Ifá within minutes and your 16-day countdown begins.
Who can see my record?
You and the Babalawo who held the consulta. Nobody else. Admins cannot open it, reviewers cannot open it, and it is not used to train anything.
What happens on day 16?
The ring completes, you get a closing note from your Babalawo, and the consulta moves to your history. You can still read it any time.
I missed an obra. What now?
Mark it as not done and tell your Babalawo through the note on that obra. They will tell you whether to do it late or let it go. The app never gives that answer for them.
The library
Why does an Odù say Traditional instead of Verified?
Verified means a reviewer confirmed the written sources. Traditional means the entry rests on oral teaching attributed to a named house that a reviewer accepted. Both are shown honestly; neither is hidden.
Why is some content not shown?
Some matters are restricted religious instruction: step-by-step ebó, ceremonial procedure, initiatory content. The library says so and points you to a priest. It is not a bug.
Why does a sign have no teachings yet?
Nothing is published until a reviewing Babalawo has approved the exact text and its sources. Signs fill in as reviews finish.
Account, languages and billing
Which languages are supported?
English and Spanish for the whole app. Change it from the language chip in the header. Verses are always shown in their original language first.
How do I become a verified Babalawo on Ile De Ifa?
Create an account as a provider and complete your profile with your lineage, year of initiation, godparent and two references. A reviewer from a different house will contact you.
How do I delete my account?
Write to us from the address on your account and we erase your record and intake answers within 30 days. Your Babalawo keeps only what they wrote in their own notes, which the app does not hold.
