Consulting Ifá is private. This page says plainly what we hold about you and what we never do with it.
Last updated October 8, 2026
What we collect
Your account: email address, name, and, if you give them, phone number, time zone and language.
When you book: the consultation, its time and price, and the answers you give the Babalawo before you meet.
If you use My Ifá: your Odù, guardian Orisha and the notes and reminders you write there.
Messages you exchange with a Babalawo, reviews you write, things you save, and reports you send us.
On the phone app: a push notification address for your device, if you allow notifications. The camera and microphone are used only during a call you join.
How we protect the private parts
Intake answers, personal Ifá notes, reminders and messages are encrypted before they are stored.
Messages are between you and the Babalawo. Our team has no screen for reading them.
Notifications and emails never carry the content of a message, your intake or your notes; they only tell you to open the app.
Calls are not recorded.
What we never do
We do not sell your data, show advertising, or use tracking or analytics on your consultations, notes or messages.
We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in and to open a booking made as a guest.
How long we keep it
Your account stays until you delete it. Sign-ins expire after 30 days, or 14 days without use.
When you delete your account, the Babalawo keeps the date, time and service of past consultations, with no name or email, as their record. Reports you sent stay without your name. Copies can remain in database backups for up to 27 days before those backups expire.
Your choices
On your data page you can download a copy of everything we hold about you, or delete your account.
Babalawos, reviewers and administrators delete their accounts by writing to the team, because others depend on them.
You can turn off email reminders and phone notifications at any time.
If you signed in with Apple, deleting your account in the phone app also tells Apple to forget the link. If you delete on the website, remove Ile De Ifa under Apple ID → Sign in with Apple as well.
